​It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you all of the passing of Dr Guy Bérard at his home in Annecy, France. He was 98.

The father of the Bérard method of Auditory Integration Training, he was a mentor & dear friend.

​ABC Radio (the Australian equivalent of the BBC) has a programme called The Health Report. In December 2008 the programme focused on children with speech & language problems. The programme is called Gap Kids, referring to children who 'fall through the gap' between different educational services.

​In March 2016 we attended the most successful conference in the history of the ILA, with multiple events, including presentations, "Light-in-Action" workshops, light exhibitions, and concerts which took place at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna - a truly splendid event!

In 2013 at its 68th session, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies (IYL2015) to recognise the importance of light-based technologies in meeting the needs of humankind.

​As representatives of The International Light Association (ILA), Pauline Allen and Phil Stickland were delighted to have been able to attend the opening ceremony of the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies (IYL2015), held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, on 19 and 20 January 2015.

We are delighted that once again we have been invited to the Isle of Man to provide an Outreach Programme sponsored by Manx Mencap. We provide assessments, sound and light therapies to help children and adults with learning and sensory difficulties improve performance.
