Caudwell Children Charity
Charitable Help for those with Learning Difficulties
In the past year The Sound Learning Centre are delighted to say we have established a successful working partnership with the Caudwell Children charity. The aim of Caudwell Children is to provide funding for children in great need and they are helping many children to participate in our programmes of sound and light therapies, and neuro-developmental programmes.
The charity are supporting the work of the Centre and thereby helping these children to benefit from our holistic approach and caring service. Successful applicants to Caudwell Children will need to fulfill the charity’s funding criteria.
Get Started
The Centre is happy to provide informal advice by means of a consultation, either by telephone or email. During this stage, we can generally establish whether we are likely to be able to help and what next steps to recommend.
We believe it is so important to take time to look at the difficulties in the context of the client’s entire personal history. Our goal is to give our clients a clear picture, personally explaining our findings in a jargon-free way. We take pride in being friendly and knowledgeable and providing a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
Making a Difference
The Sound Learning Centre have been working in the field of learning and sensory difficulties for many years and have extensive experience in the different ways that sound, light, colour and physical exercises can be used to bring the mind-body system back into balance. We have developed a unique mix of effective, non-invasive, ways of treating the whole person and are often able to bring about transformational change where before there was little prospect of improvement.
Our Principal, Pauline Allen, says “Caudwell Children are changing the lives of many children throughout the UK by funding these programmes”. Here are just some of the quotes from parents and professionals of children recently treated:
-
4.5 year old boy; Global Developmental Delay and Speech Delay
“Can’t believe how he has improved over the last 10 days. We have had such a positive experience with you all and thank you so much for what you have done so far for our son.” said his mother.
-
12 year old boy; Autism and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)
His mother said he is no longer aggressive, and has stopped punching, kicking, hitting and threatening. He is much more relaxed with a better understanding of what goes on around him. He is also more animated and tuned in and less withdrawn.
-
5 year old girl; Autism
Professional working with her said that after treatment, she became more dynamic, happier and alert.
-
9 year old girl; Dyspraxia, Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), epilepsy and speech delay
Her mother said “she has improved greatly in speech and co-ordination and some improvement in behaviour”. Her mother is very thankful for the help her daughter has received.
The Sound Learning Centre work with children with learning and sensory difficulties and with many conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, speech and language difficulties, ADD/ADHD, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Neuro-Developmental Delay and depression.
